EJ12 Girl Hero is an adventure series for younger girls published by Lemonfizz Media. You can read more about us at www.lemonfizzmedia.com
Below you will find information on how your child can participate in the EJ12 Girl Hero website.
What types of information do we collect about your child?
Children can explore ej12girlhero.com, view content, and play many games without any personal information being collected. We do not collect personal information from a child unless they register on the site to become an Agent. We take the online safety of children very seriously and are committed to a fun but safe online experience for the EJ12 Girl Hero readers and want parents and guardians to be informed about the site. Below you will find information on how your child can participate in the website
Typically, children will register in order to access bonus features or to receive email updates about the EJ12 Girl Hero brand. The only information we collect from children during our registration process is a child´s first name, last name initial, birth date, email address and parent´s e-mail address. We collect birth dates to validate the ages of our guests and to send them birthday messages. We do not collect any other personally identifiable information from children during our registration process.
How do we use and share the personally identifiable information that we have collected about children?
If a child registers to be an Agent or enters a competition, we use the parent´s email address to notify the parent of their child´s registration request or winning entry. We collect the child’s email address in order to validate the registration and to send the child our monthly newsletter and birthday messages.
How do we notify and obtain consent from parents for the collection of information from their children?
We send parents an email when their child registers to become an Agent. If they do consent they should click on the validation link and their child will be able to become an Agent and create their Agent profile. If we don´t hear back from the parent, and the child’s account is not activated it will be deleted within 30 days. Once a parent permits a child to register to be an Agent, the child will be able to explore the restricted access sections of the site without any further notification to the parent.
Should a child win a competition, we will also notify the parent at the parent´s email address provided to us during the registration process and request that the parent provide their postal address for purposes of delivering the prize. We may publish a winner´s first name, first initial of last name, city, and state of residence on our website. If a parent doesn’t respond to a winning competition email, a prize will not get posted out.
In good faith, Lemonfizz Media accepts that the information submitted by registrants is correct and cannot be held responsible for activating accounts that have not been approved by parents.

What can my child do on their Agent Profile Page?
Agents once signed up to the site can create their own personal avatar by selecting from a bank of non-identifying pre-approved assets that could in no way identify the individuals they are created by. These assets include face shapes, hair styles, eye colour, accessories and apparel options.
Agents will also be able to select and save images of their favorite EJ12 Books, EJ12 Charms and EJ12 animals to their profile page.
At the point of creating their profile, users will be asked for their first name, last name initial only, date of birth, email address and parents email address. This information is collected solely for the purposes of generating their code name that will be a combination of their name and date-of-birth.
What happens if a child enters a competition?
When a child enters a competition on Ej12girlhero.com they will be asked for their name, email address, age and parent’s email address. Once the EJ12 Girl Hero Team has appraised all entries, the parent of the winning entrants will be contacted by the email address provided to confirm address details to mail out prizes. Lemonfizz Media will not send the prize if parental consent is not given.
